I have been wanting to make an apron FOREVER! I bought a pattern last summer and it still sits in my closet. Since I started this Cake Class though, I was wanting to get it out and make it so I would have an apron to wear. I didn't, but found an old apron my Great-Grandma made. She was quite the homemaker and seamstress, and lived in aprons from what I hear. I thought the apron she made was so perfect, that I asked my mom if she had the pattern. We ended up making one off one of her old aprons we already had.

I LOVE it! ..especially that it wraps around and fits over my pregnant belly!! As you can see, I made a couple changes, but for the most part, this pattern is made from just 1 yard of fabric and (besides the hem) 2 seams. I did add a couple pockets and a bottom ruffle though.
