Welcome Fall

I am having fun with my shelf! I found a bunch of fall decorations at Michael's for 70% off! WooHoo! I have been LOVING the fall this year. We have had BEAUTIFUL trees, and the color seems to have lingered a little longer this year..or maybe I am just enjoying it more! Either way..I am looking forward to Christmas, but not looking forward to winter though.

Hair Bows

I made some hair bows a few months ago, but here are some more I've been making! They are super easy, and super cute! I am TOTALLY in to this little girl thing! Can you tell?!!

Onesie Made Dress

No pattern, just did it. It is still a onesie, I didn't cut it off, although you can and it may be a little easier to sew!.
The little posie is actually a hair clip to go on a head band!

Cake Class

Last month I took a cake class! Wilton II with a couple friends. It was a blast! We learned some different flowers each week out of Royal Icing, and learned to use the Color Flow Icing as well. The last week we learned the Basket Weave and Rope border on the cake and put all our flowers on it. Here's mine!

Halloween Costumes

Here is how our Halloween Costumes turned out for the kiddos! You can't see the babies as well, but she was 'eva' from Wall-e. I found a white zip-up nighty that we had and sewed a green leaf on the chest of it. then the hoodie and face w/blue eyes..it went up and down as I needed to see her. My son was, of course, wall-e. A painted box and a pair of goggles and robot hands I got from the dollar store. He LOVED it! Has worn it every day since! They were great!

I'm Back!

Sorry I've been away so long. Here's what I've been busy with!
&
Taking a Cake Class: Wilton 2 - lots of flowers! It's been fun! Our final cake is next week, and I will put all these flowers on it!Made a shelf..well didn't construct it. Got it f/Michael's unfinished and then finished it. Paint and hooks. I've been wanting a shelf for a while. A place where we can hang our stockings in a couple months and that I can decorate for holidays!
I told myself I had 6 weeks after this baby to recoup! It's been 7 now and I have a list of things I want to make! Starting with costumes! My son will be Wall-e and my daughter will be Eve f/the Wall-e movie!

Boppy Cover

I can't believe how expensive Boppy covers are..so I made one..winging it (no pattern). I made it with a fold over so the Boppy itself is unexposed because I didn't have a zipper lying around that was long enough. I think it turned out pretty well! I only had baby boy ones and wanted a little girl one and had some leftover fabric!

I am having a lot of contractions and beginning to dialate..so it won't be long now, and oh how I am sooo ready!

Settler's - progress

It's coming along well... I had a deadline to have it done so my Aunt could take it out to Idaho with her for the family reunion I am missing..but it only gave me 2 days..I got a LOT done, but not all of it..so with my deadline passed, I haven't been working on it as much ..and now I am trying to figure out my pieces. I had some temporary things that would have worked had I sent it out..but now that I have more time, I will take it and make better pieces. I like the board..but I still need to put some binding around it. I like the hex's and that the numbers and everything is velcro so I can change it up. I did get my progress cards written on tonight.

I think I will be making my settlements, cities and roads out of polymer clay. Maybe the knights too, we'll see.

Settler's of Catan

I had this great idea today!..well, I'm really probably in over my head, but am excited to try it anyway. Do any of you play Settler's of Catan? ..well, I do, and it's probably safe to say that I'm addicted to it. Anyway..I decided to combine my love of crafts, with my love game! We'll see how it turns out in a few days. I am still trying to decide what to use for the game pieces (ie:settlements, cities, knights, roads, number chips, etc. - Maybe I'll check out US Toys) I think I'll cut paper for letters/number tokens.. then it'll all be velcro'd so the tiles can be rotated..my idea is to make a board I could take..on vacation so I don't lose my real pieces.(It's a pretty expensive game..and I'm pretty protective of it!) I need to get some sheep fabric still..but know exactly what I'm getting.

Baby Crib Bedding - Check

Okay! So, I FINALLY finished the bedding for the crib. I spent all day. Now I have to make the mobile and I'll be finished with that project! Don't look too close..it's no where near perfect, but I am pleased for my first attempt, and without a pattern. I like the colors too! Hooray!! My son has decided the underneath is his new tent.

Taggie Blanket for Baby

Soo soft and cuddly. When baby is big enough I can attach toys and such too!

When I See an Elephant Fly!

I thought I had seen everything with the Cricut!! ..From cutting your own stamps, cutting fabric for iron-ons, and the 'Sure Cuts A Lot' computer download (that will cut any true-type font off your computer using your cricut machine, of course your scrapbook die cuts, and so much more until I saw this! Check this out!

Now I find that the (Scrapbook) Cricut Machine can also cut FONDANT for Cakes! I'm totally going to try this ..eventually..! Another thing to add to my list!

See more Cricut Cakes and order the How To DVD HERE.

Burp Cloths

I sewed some fabric onto some pre-folded cloth diapers. They make cute burp cloths and match my baby slings I made previously. I will have to make some little boy ones though!

The fabric was cut to 6" x 20 " and I just folded under the sides as I sewed. Easy and quick!

Finally!!

So, I honestly think I am the world's BIGGEST procrastinator. But, I finally got some curtains made. I've had the fabric for the shower curtain for oh..6-8 months. and the fabric for a bedroom curtain for ..oh, about 2 1/2 years..yes.. that's right..years! I found the bedroom curtain fabric, I think at Wal-Mart on sale, and it matches our bedding, so I grabbed it, thinking I would have it done long before now. So, I am glad to have them done!! I like them both a lot!

4th of July

I found this unfinished wooden star at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago during their 1/2 off sale on unfinished wood..which made the star $1.50. Covered it with scrapbook paper and embellished it..don't mind the mess in the background..that's just my messy craft table! It comes apart and stores flat which is nice too!

Quit for Baby Ella

My mom found this baby quilt top all patched up and sewn together in her endless box of unused fabric (you know what they say.."She who dies with the most fabric, wins!)..So..I tied it and put a back on it and now Ella has her first quilt! I haven't made a quilt before because, well..honestly, they kind of intimidate me..So I'm starting small with a pre-made top! lol!! It turned out cute though!

Bracelets

A couple cute little bracelets. My friends baby was wearing one last I saw her and it was so cute!..hope they will fit! I'll make more to match her outfits as I get them.

Bows

I made these head bands and bows tonight for an infant girl. I covered some single prong hair clippies (I got from Sally's) with ribbon using hot glue, then glued on some flowers and buttons and patches. I'm sure I'll make fore eventually. The headband itself is made out of a knee high..yes, a nylon knee high! I heard they stay on better than anything.

I flattened it out and sewed it just below the knee and above the toe seam. Cut the excess off and covered it with the bow. I like that I can switch out the little bows. Just hope they fit! For lack of a better head..I had this container sitting close by! But I think it will be about the same size!

Names

I got in a crafty mood tonight about 10:00 and had to run to the store for some things..I got started at 11:30 and didn't want to stop..so it's late and I'm tired, but I got a couple fun things done! Here's the babies name! This isn't how I'll hang it in her room, but my son is asleep in there now. Here is my sons name that I did 2 years ago when he was born.I am working on the bedding..I have the sheets done and the bumper cut out..I'll get that done next. I've just been busy with summer and travels, so things are a little slow going.
