Here is one I haven't worked on for a while and NEEEED to finish desperately. I was able to serve a mission for my church to the Washington DC South Mission (mostly Northern Virginia really, but we got to visit and tour DC quite a bit), and I loved it. I have always wanted to have a red, white, and blue room in my home and will, eventually. I started this project a couple years ago and it has sat for a while now, but I am making a small afghan to hang on the wall. It will be a little flag.

Magnets

Coasters

These are fun and quick to make. I took the big 3 1/2 inch buttons that you can buy f/Wal-Mart for $0.97 and took the pin out of the back. Then cut 3 1/2 inch circles, bumble bees, and words out with my cricut and glues it all together using Zip Dry (my favorite paper glue!). You can also hot glue some felt onto the back so the don't scratch the table top. They make fun coasters! My sister is doing her house in bumble bees. So I used the "Six Be's" from President Hinckley's talk. Read it here: "A Prophet's Counsel and Prayer for Youth". Happy Birthday Hailee! I'll get them in the mail quick!

Birthday Calendar

I made these a few years ago when I was RS Pres. I had a magnet board I would post these on so the sisters knew who's birthdays were coming up! Now I use them on my refrigerator for friends and family names. I have a decorated cake for each month and candles. I laminated them, so I can use a dry-erase marker on the candles each month for names, and I keep the others in a bag with my years list of birthdays. It's fun, I hope it'll be fun for my kids when they are a little older and will help remind us to make and send off Birthday cards.. sorry, I'm pretty bad at it now, but I think about you on your birthdays!

Necklace Charms

I'm not quite done with these, but I am making some little necklace charms. I need to figure out how to take a better picture of these so you can see them better.
I took some little wood tile pieces and decopauged some scrapbook paper onto them. Then I covered them with Paper Glaze to make them look like they have a glass finish. The little girls would love these, maybe I can find some metal pieces that I can do this to to make them look a little more elegant! I still need to put a metal clasp through the whole so the will go onto a chain.

Chinese Fortune Cookies

A fun idea for Valentine's Day, Chinese New Year, or any other day you want to celebrate! Leave little notes for your sweetheart, a child, a friend, or anyone that needs a little cheering up! I made these with felt, pinking shears, a hot glue gun and some wire. They are fun to make and a great project for kids (with help from the adult for the glue gun) - They could even come up with the sayings to put in them!

I'm trying to decide what crafty things we should do for the next Get R' Done Enrichment night. Any ideas would be great. I would like to know what you are all interested in. quotes on tiles
"Green Bags" for shopping
Cookie Sheet magnet boards & Magnets
Glass etched Nativities
FHE peg boards
Quiet Books
Wood Blocks that say Live Laugh Love..or whatever you want them to say
Picture Blocks
Plaques that say Last name, Established, and wedding date
Aprons

Any other ideas?

Some old projects

I haven't had a lot of time these past couple weeks...because I can't let myself craft when I have cleaning and other things that are slightly more important! =)
So, here are a few old projects for ideas: Here is something I made about 6 years ago, it has gotten a little bit squashed in the boxes through the years, but I still like it and hang it each year!Just after we moved into our current place of residence, I found some fabric for $1/yard and grabbed about 15 yards. While my mom was visiting she helped me make these:

We love this one, because our Dining and Living room are all one big room, this divides it for us and gives us a little more privacy. It's nice to pull shut and not have to look at the mess in the kitchen while we are trying to watch a movie or something.. also prevents glare on the T.V.! We like it.

Here are a couple curtains to tie the rooms together.

And some pillows too! I use pineapple decorations in my kitchen, but my couches are a dark blue, so this fabric was perfect to tie the colors together!

I put together these frames shortly after we got married. You've probably seen "The Living Christ" one before, but I also did it to "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" and used our family pictures. I update this one every so often with new family pics. (sorry about the angles of the pics..it makes them a little harder to see, but it was that or have a big glare from the lights.)

Craft Fair

This past weekend our family jumped in the van with my in-laws and visited some family in Missouri. While we were there we all went to (my first) the Craft Fair that comes once a year! They had a lot of fun, cute ideas. A lot of which I can make myself, but we did find some yummy smelling potpourri stuff, and one lady makes her own lotions and chap sticks that work great! They had a lot of booths. We had fun and I hope to go to many more.

Eye-Spy Ornaments

You've heard of I - spy bags, well, here's a twist. This is what I worked on tonight at the Get R' Done group. I've been thinking about Christmas gifts lately, but I also wanted to make some personalized Christmas ornaments for us this year.. I know it's a bit early, but now that is out of the way. They were fun to make! I found a variety of buttons with little shapes on them. I got a variety of shapes related to things we have done during the year...
Mine has
a plane - skydiving
a tent - camping
a sewing thimble - crafting
a Statue of Liberty and an American flag for our trip to the east coast
...and a few other things I can't remember at this moment.

J's has very similar to mine, but a pencil and paper for school, and a wrench for working on his car, and no sewing thimble!

G's has
a car - road trips we took this summer
french fries and bananas - he started eating real food this year
a birthday cake with 1 candle - turned 1 this year
...

you get the idea! Now in years to come we can look back and remember all the fun things we did this year! I still need to attach tags to them to tell what to look for.
Can you believe I came up with this one on my own!
