Hooray!
Well, we just found out that we are pregnant. I'm only about 6 weeks but we are so excited. I haven't been feeling well all this week so I've been on the couch most of it, and not doing much crafting or blogging or anything. Today I did get some anti-nausea medicine and canned pear juice seems to help a LOT. Try it if you haven't..I don't know why it works but it has been! I'm due sometime in Sept. It'll be our 2nd child. Our son, Gideon, is about 19 months now and he's a busy little guy. I am excited for him to have a little brother or sister! So, I may not be crafting as much for a little bit,..but any moment I feel up to it I will try!

Dishes
Are you always losing your dishes or leaving them places. When you take dinner to a friend or a dish to the church for potluck? Well, here's an idea. You can Glass Etch the bottom of your (glass) dishes! That way you and everyone else will know whom it belongs too. My mom did this on a bunch of dishes for my sisters and me for Christmas! Don't forget your coupon when you go buy the Armour Etch.

Scarfs and Hats
If you haven't seen these looms you ought to try them out. They are so fun to use to make scarfs, and blankets, and they have round ones that make hats and sweaters. My sister was making a BEAUTIFUL scarf over the holidays and I love it so much I had to make one. I got my loom set from Michael's with a 50% off coupon which made the set of 4 looms only $10 rather than the $20.. regular price at Michael's and Wal-Mart. I love coupons, but anyway..here is the scarf I am almost done making! I can't wait to have it done!
I made this hat 6 or 8 months ago for my son (he wasn't in the mood to smile at the time) with a round loom. I'll have to make a hat to match my scarf when I'm done with it.

My Mom - The Crafter!
So, this is where I get all my craft abilities..not that my crafts are wonderful and fabulous..I just mean the desire, hobby, and enjoyment for doing crafts!
Every time I go home she is working on something else.. usually sewing a quilt, a chair, or whatever else. This year she spent hours making some Christmas tree skirts and stockings for me, my 3 sisters and some of her friends. They were all double sided and so beautiful. This is the one she gave me!
Hair Clips
My mother-in-law and I did some little craft over the holidays. Here are some hair clips we made for her nieces. We got the single prong clips from Sally's and covered them in 3/4" ribbon with hot glue. We also glued a little piece of foam on the inside bottom of the clip to help them stay in the hair a little better. They turned out very cute, and I think the little girls will love them!
These little cute magnets are made from painted wood pieces that I got at Michael's for $0.25 each. I just hot glued the magnet on the back! Have fun!
